BG Connect: A new iPad app for BG FIT DATA.

BG Connect for the BG FIT DATA system has been released.

This iPad app has been designed to work as an electronic clipboard that you can use to record your Pre-Fit Assessments. It also allows you to create and review customers and even record the Pre-Fit assessment on the iPad for one customer while someone else finishes another customer on the PC.  Note: It does not have video capture or analysis.

You can download the iPad app for free from iTunes (search for ‘BG Connect’). However, it will not do much without the PC module.  The PC module is $300 from stan@siliconcoach.com at Siliconcoach as usual.

You must be running BG FIT DATA V2.1 or greater.  You can learn more about upgrading to V2.1 below.

Media Pack for Data V2.0

Every year Specialized and SBCU makes video clips about bike fitting and people who have been fitted.  These video clips are now available for you to download, install and then playback on the Home screen of the BG FIT DATA software along with old and new still images.

Download the Media Installer fully (NOTE it is 900 MB!!!) then double click it to start the installation process.

NOTE: it may take about 2-4 minutes to do anything as it needs to load the whole 850 MB file into memory to begin the installation process.  Then follow the instructions on the screen.

The media will automatically be installed in your DATA media folder which you can find at C:\ProgramData\SpecializedV2\BannerImages

Current version and key points on upgrading

The software is currently at version 2.1.1.4.  To find out which version you have, go to About on the top menu of the DATA software, a new window will appear that will tell you your version number.

  • If you originally purchased version 1.0 you need to contact Support at datasupport@siliconcoach.com to purchase your $350 upgrade to V2.0.
  • The upgrade from V2.0 to V2.1 is free but any module is extra (e.g. Fisheye or BG Connect)
  • Once you have version 2.0 you need to contact Support at datasupport@siliconcoach.com to get your free upgrade to V2.1 (Note if you want the BG Connect iPad module it is $300 USD).
